On Decorating Former Ambassador of the State Of Qatar in Russia with the Russian Order
February 23, 2015, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the State of Qatar held a reception at the residence of the Russian Ambassador on the occasion of decorating H.E.Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi, former Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Moscow, with the Order of Excellence in the cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. H.E.Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Assistant for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Yousef Abdullah Fakhro, director of the Department of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, H.E.Mr. Nurmakhmad Kholov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the State of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi, the Russian diplomats and the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar attended the event.
In his speech H.E.Mr. Nurmakhmad Kholov said as follows:
"We have gathered today on a very good and important occasion that is decorating H.E.Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi who served Qatari Ambassador in Moscow in the period between 2009 and 2014 with the Order of Excellence in the cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
I am glad to mention that H.E.Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi accomplished his duty as an Ambassador with dignity and honour and contributed greatly to the development of the bilateral relations in various fields. There is no doubt that he made an invaluable and priceless contribution to the intensification of the mutually beneficial cooperation between our fraternal countries. And we know that all great Russia knows Mr. Al-Midhadi, loves him and all his Russian friends send their best regards through my message.
In fact decorating Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi with this order that is usually given to the most efficient foreign Ambassadors who served in Russia is the recognition of his sustained efforts in the field of strengthening of the Russian-Qatari relations.
Thus we congratulate Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi and wish him success and prosperity while accomplishing his next mission abroad and securing the national interests of the State of Qatar overseas".
Following the speech of H.E.Mr. Nurmakhmad Kholov H.E.Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi said that he wants to thank His Excellency the Russian Ambassador for arranging this event and H.E.Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi, and H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Yousef Abdullah Fakhro for their attendance. He also said that he considers his decoration with the Order no only as a respect to him personally but also as a recognition of the excellent stance of the flourishing Russian-Qatari relations and that he was very happy this day to learn that the bilateral cooperation was developing and progressing further day by day. He was also very pleased to stress that the forth-coming 1st session of the Joint Russo-Qatari Inter-Governmental Commission would be held in Doha, March 3-4, 2015. Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi appreciated the efforts of Mr. Nurmakhmad Kholov in the sphere of intensifying of the Russian-Qatari relations highlighting that their both achievement was the successful visit of H.H.Shaikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to Sochi, February 5, 2015 and his negotiations with H.E.Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation. Mr. Ahmed S.Al-Midhadi stressed that it was a friendly and very important meeting that crowned his work as a Qatari Ambassador in Moscow. He also expressed his deep gratitude to H.E.Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, for his welcome attention and hospitality in Moscow and the Russian leadership for its strengthening cooperation with the State of Qatar.
In his turn H.E.Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi thanked Mr. Nurmakhmad Kholov for his valuable efforts in the intensification of the bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially taking into consideration his preparations for arranging the Joint Russo-Qatari Inter-Governmental Commission due in Doha, March 3-4, 2015.
